Mohan Charan Majhi is an Indian politician who is serving as the 15th Chief Minister of Odisha thus ending the 24 year term of Naveen Patnaik. He was elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly from Keonjhar (Odisha Vidhan Sabha constituency) in the 2019 Odisha Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also represented the Keonjhar twice during the years 2000 to 2009.
He is an MLA from Keonjhar district (Odisha) constituency in the State Election 2024. He won the seat with a margin of 11577 votes against the BJD candidate.
On the 11th of June 2024, he was announced as the next Chief Minister of Odisha post 2024 Odisha Legislative Assembly election.
