Ryan Mallett (June 5, 1988 – June 27, 2023) was an American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played as a backup for the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens from 2011 to 2017.
Mallett played college football for the Michigan Wolverines and Arkansas Razorbacks. While with Arkansas, he was a two-time, second-team all-conference selection in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He was selected by New England in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. After his playing career, Mallett served as the head football coach at White Hall High School in White Hall, Arkansas.
