Srinivasapuram Krishnaswamy PVSM, AVSM, VM and Bar (born Madras January 1943) was the 19th Chief of Air Staff (India) from 2001 to 2004. He started the first electronic warfare command in the Indian Air Force and was awarded the Agni Award for Self Reliance in August 1999 for promoting indigenous development in the Indian Armed services. He fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and flew the Folland Gnat. He later joined Aircraft and System Training Establishment as a test pilot. He went on to command Western, South-Western and Central Air Commands.
