Welcome to popular Wiki of the Day where we read the summary of a popular Wikipedia page every day.

With 309,967 views on Wednesday, 10 April 2024 our article of the day is Eid Mubarak.

Eid Mubarak (Arabic: عِيد مُبَارَك‎ ʿīd mubārak) is an Arabic term that means “Blessed feast/festival'”. The term is used by Muslims all over the world. Internationally, Muslims use it as a greeting on the feast. Meaning it’s a greeting for the end of Ramadan. In the social sense, people usually celebrate Eid al-Fitr after Ramadan and Eid al-Adha in the month of Dhul Hijjah (the 12th and final Islamic month). This exchange of greetings is a cultural tradition and not part of any religious obligation.
