Katharine, Duchess of Kent (born Katharine Lucy Mary Worsley; 22 February 1933 – 4 September 2025), was a member of the British royal family. She was married to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, a grandson of King George V.
Katharine converted to Catholicism in 1994, becoming the first member of the royal family to convert publicly since the passing of the Act of Settlement 1701. She also became synonymous with Wimbledon, where she presented the Ladies' Singles Trophy for more than three decades. She was associated with the world of music and performed as a member of several choirs. In her later years, she became a music teacher at a primary school and founded the charity Future Talent to nurture young musical talent in low-income families.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022, Katharine became the oldest living member of the British royal family, until her own death on 4 September 2025. This title is now held by her widower, Prince Edward.
